    Hello Forum,

I found this post by John – https://www.tartssensors.com/topic/extending-probe-wire/ where he mentions that he’s connected his Tart Sensor to his Samsung SmartThings hub. Looking into SmartThings I see it accepts three types of connections – WiFi, Zigbee and Z-Wave.

This leads me to ask how would I connect a Tart Sensor to a hub and which protocol is going to be used?

I have a Raspberry Pi so I will be using the Tart Pi Hat to connect my Tart Sensors? Do I use another Hat on the Pi (like a zigbee or Z-wave hat) or does the Pi then connect to the SmartThings hub via my router (local network)?

Any advice on how others have connected their Tart Sensors to a local hub would be greatly appreciated. The hub doesn’t have to be SmartThings..I’m really looking for what protocols others here on these forums have used to connect their Tart Devices to a hub. I love what Tart Sensors do but I see a disconnect in their usefulness in that they don’t connect to a hub or central place so decisions can be made once the sensor trips. Am I missing an important point when it comes to how to use Tart Sensors in everyday use? If so please enlighten me.

    Thank you.
